Biggest Immigration draw of the year held by Quebec

Quebec held its biggest immigration draw of the year by inviting 365 Immigration candidates.  These invitations are issued to apply for permanent selection on 24th September. Invited candidates filed Expression of Interest through the ARRIMA Portal. ARRIMA Portal manages applications of Regular Skilled Worker Program for Quebec.

Invited Candidates:

MIFI Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Integration needs a validation offer of employment in the province to invite candidates. Diplomats, Consular Officer, United Nation Representative or any intergovernmental organizer in Quebec are invited in this draw. Members of staff of any such official also come under Section 26 of the Quebec Immigration Regulation are also covered in this draw. Those candidates are also invited who can contribute to Quebec’s prosperity according to the minister. Although those candidates could not meet the invitation criteria of ARRIMA. In this biggest draw, MIDI first time invited candidates under this category. Still, the distribution count of invitations is not specified for this category. 

Immigration Process of Quebec:

The Immigration Process in Quebec is managed by Quebec Immigration Ministry (MIFI). The Government of Quebec selects economic class immigrants like Entrepreneurs and skilled workers.  MIDI issues a document called Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), which confirms the immigration of candidates. On the basis for CSQ, candidates can apply for permanent residence. 

What is ARRIMA?

Candidates interested in Regular Skilled Worker Program, apply online through ARRIMA portal. In a way, they submit an Expression of Interest to Quebec Immigration Ministry MIFI. Everyone over 18 can apply through ARRIMA and creating an Expression of Interest profile is free of cost. 

At the first step, the candidate has to create an ARRIMA account and have 90 days to complete the profile. 

Created Expression of Interest remains valid for a year and profiles could be updated during this time. Candidates have to satisfy cut-off scores according to the points grid to apply for CSQ. After the issuance of the invitation, candidates have 90 days to apply for the CSQ. The Ministry will issue a comprehensive list of the documents after the assessment of the application. After reviewing the documents by MIFI applicants, selected candidates are invited for an interview.
