Upcoming changes to Business Migrations & Skilled Migration Queensland – Subclass 491 Small Business Owner Pathway

In 2019 November, the Department of Home Affairs  released the skill work
regional (provincial ) visa (subclass 491)
The amount of interest increasing regional investments, Business Migrations &  Skilled
migration Queensland ( BSMQ) establish the subclass (491) stream under which
permits individuals to apply for state sponsorship on the behave of their regional
business investments.
adequate applicants must first be in Australia and cling to an applicable visa that
permits unobstructed work rights and operation of a business. Therefore the
applicant must be successful in achieving a recommendation by BSMQ, they
must have skills which required and/ otherwise experience appropriate to an
employment on the Skilled work List (found here).
Once the Assessment skill is obtained, the applicant must score 65points for the
EOI eligibility.

Points are Calculated based on :

 Age
 Educational level
 Skill employment experience
Further on, the employer is not older than 45,& has competent English
language ability. The employer must have the previous business evidence
that they can successfully establish a business in 6 months to the EOI
lodgment and must be able to confront that they can be able to handle the
Australian Resident.
BSMQ recently released the upcoming changes to the stream from April 2022.
 pre-obtainable businesses purchase will be required to have been in process for 2
years (instead of 1 year)
 The minimum price must be $100,000 (instead of the total venture in the business)
 Sub-leases of the franchise (such as petrol stations), and home-based business
(such as courier and cleaning businesses) will not be measured.
BSMQ refers that these changes are for the long term which is suitable for the
program.

NINE STEPS TO SUCCESS :

1. Qualified business recognition.
2. To attain positive Skill Assessments.
3. Points measurements at least 65points.
4. EOI LODGEMENT via SKILL SELECT.
5. Apply the SBO evaluation outline to BSMQ and expect an invitation.
6. Within 14 days provide an additional doc that is requested by BSMQ.
7. Waiting for the confirmation of the doc from the department.
8. Lodge Small commerce employers 491 via submission within 60 days of
reception of the request
9. wait for visa endorsement.
