Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry Stream

Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry Stream came into effect on 1 January 2015 is for highly skilled candidates having eligible qualifications. Applications are accepted online for the candidates who have a good job offer among 11 eligible occupations. These applicants lie under Category A with arranged employment which should be supported by a positive labour market impact Assessment from a Nova Scotia employer according to the market demand. The job offer must be for full-time work and lasts for one year after becoming a resident of Nova Scotia. The other one is category B in which a paid work experience in an opportunity occupation and candidate must have one year of work experience. This category is expected to open and close throughout the year which is a controlling intake process. For category A, the candidate must have a registered profile in IRCC Express Entry System with a minimum 67 scores and a valid job offer and related on the year job experience. Have an eligible credential with CLB 7 with enough financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia. For category B just with all the eligibility requirements candidates must be in one of the target occupations as identified in Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream

Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream which allows the Nova Scotia to select Express Entry candidates who meet the required labour market. Skilled occupations can vary in different invitations round according to the demand for social and labour needs in the province, so is very flexible. Interested candidates must have a valid Federal Express Entry profile under one of the three Federal Economic immigration programs and candidates receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Nominee program and after receiving this within 30 calendar days candidate must submit his/her application. Must show enough funds to meet the expense in Nova Scotia and meet all the IRCC criteria. Along with this candidate must meet the minimum work-experience requirements of the Express Entry stream. Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities for Physicians is for the Express Entry candidates who have an approved job offer from the Nova Scotia Health Authority or the IWK health centre. General practitioners and family physicians (NOC 3112) and Specialist physicians (NOC 3111) will receive a Letter of Interest once NSOI is notified of the candidate’s Express Entry profile number and a signed approved opportunity with the above mentioned authorities.

Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry

Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry selects highly skilled eligible individuals who want to work and stay permanently in Nova Scotia and the applicant must have one year experience in a highly skilled occupation. Age of the applicant must be 21 to 55 years old, having a Canadian high school credential or equivalent, For National Occupation Classification A and 0 CLB 7 and CLB 5 is required for NOC B positions and top of all candidate must have a profile registered in IRCC Express Entry System.

Occupation in-demand stream

Occupation in-demand stream deals with the specific NOC C, intermediate-skilled occupations that are in high labour market demand in Nova Scotia which is totally based on labour market information. For the eligible candidates must have a valid job offer from Nova Scotia employer in NOC 3413 (Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates) or NOC 7511 (Transport truck drivers) with the one year experience in specified occupation. Candidates must have appropriate skills with a high school diploma, have enough financial resources with CLB 4.

Entrepreneur Stream

Entrepreneur Stream is for experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live in Nova Scotia and want to start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business so after a year they may be nominated for permanent residence. Candidate must have a net worth of a minimum $600,000 CAD with a minimum 3 years experience.

Skilled Worker Stream

Skilled Worker Stream which helps employers to recruit skilled workers and recently graduated international students all over the globe, whose skills are needed in Nova Scotia. It’s for the candidates who received a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. Workers in skilled, semi-skilled and low skilled occupations may be eligible to apply and to distinguish among these occupations Nova Scotia Office of immigration utilize the National Occupational Classification. If here we talk about eligibility criteria, if the candidate is living in Canada must provide legal status and if applying from any other country provide the legal status of a current country residence. Same as in previous streams age should be 21 to 55 at the time of application, have a permanent job offer with required work experience from an eligible employer, have completed a high school level of education, demonstrate the ability to settle in Nova Scotia with sufficient settlement funds with eligible language proof.

International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream is for recent graduates of a Nova Scotia university or the Nova Scotia Community College or at least one has completed two years of full-time study in the province. Candidates must be operated own business for at least one year and want to settle
in Nova Scotia permanently. Applications to the Stream is by invitations only and eligibility for this stream is at first the candidate wants to permanently live in Nova Scotia while owning a business and one-year continuous business experience, have a valid post-graduate work permit with CLB 7.

Physician Stream

Physician Stream is for general practitioners, family physicians, and specialist physicians to work in Nova Scotia with a signed employment offer Nova Scotia’s healthcare authorities. This stream is to support Nova Scotia’s public authorities the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) and the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre (IWK) – to hire the above-mentioned physicians to help healthcare labour shortage. For eligibility criteria candidate must have a legal status of residence and must have the approved offer for an opportunity as a General practitioners and family physicians (NOC 3112) or specialist physicians (NOC 3111).

Atlantic immigration pilot program is also for Nova Scotia as Nova Scotia is one of four Atlantic provinces working in partnership with the Government of Canada to recruit foreign workers to fill jobs in Atlantic Canada and they could be living abroad or temporarily in Canada at the time of applying. In this partnership, the Federal Government and Provincial Government have decided to welcome more than 7,000 newcomers and their families to get settled in the Atlantic region by 2021.
