Sweden Resumes Migration Services at Islamabad Embassy from April 9

In a welcome development for applicants seeking entry into Sweden, the Swedish Embassy in Islamabad has announced the resumption of certain migration services starting April 9.

Individuals who have applied for residence permits to work, study, or join family members in Sweden will once again be able to visit the embassy in Islamabad for essential procedures such as biometric data submission, passport verification, and interviews. This service is also available to applicants intending to stay in Sweden for more than 90 days.

The move comes after a period of suspension and is expected to ease the process for many awaiting migration formalities.

However, those seeking a Schengen visa for short-term visits (up to 90 days) to Sweden will still need to apply through VFS Global at one of its designated offices in Bangkok, Yangon, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Cebu, Jakarta, Bali, Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tokyo, or Seoul.
