FNQ DAMA: 51 Jobs Added

Big Update for FNQ DAMA: 51 New Jobs Added!

Starting March 22, 2025, the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement (FNQ DAMA) is expanding! A total of 51 new occupations have been added, bringing the total number of eligible jobs to 226.

The agreement has also been extended by two years, now running until April 3, 2027. This means more skilled workers will have the chance to live and work in the region. Nomination caps have also been increased to help meet the growing demand.

What’s Changing?

  • 51 new jobs are now eligible under FNQ DAMA.

  • The agreement is extended until 2027.

  • Some jobs will have English and salary concessions to make it easier for workers to qualify.

New Jobs Added

The new occupations cover a wide range of industries, including construction, healthcare, farming, engineering, and more. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Healthcare & Education: Nurse Educator, Nurse Manager, Environmental Health Officer, Home Tutor, Librarian

  • Farming & Agriculture: Poultry Farmer, Beef Cattle Farmer, Dairy Cattle Farm Worker, Livestock Husbandry Worker

  • Trades & Technical Jobs: Marine Diesel Mechanic, Welding Specialist Supervisor, Automotive Electrician, Telecommunications Technician

  • Other Jobs: Aeroplane Pilot, Bookkeeper, Content Creator (Marketing), Taxi Driver, Lifeguard, Massage Therapist
