Canada Express Entry: 8,036 Invitations Sent in Latest Draws
Canada’s Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held two Express Entry draws this week, issuing 8,036 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency.
March 21 Draw – French Language Proficiency
- ITAs Issued: 7,500
- Minimum CRS Score: 379
- Tie-breaking Date: March 6, 2025
This marks another major draw targeting French-speaking candidates, following over 11,000 ITAs issued in February.
March 17 Draw – Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
- ITAs Issued: 536
- Minimum CRS Score: 736
- Tie-breaking Date: March 12, 2025
Candidates with a provincial nomination receive 600 additional CRS points, making PNP a strong pathway for immigration.
CRS Score Distribution in the Pool
- 601-1200: 693 candidates
- 501-600: 25,522 candidates
- 451-500: 70,055 candidates
- 401-450: 61,487 candidates
- 351-400: 51,802 candidates
- Below 350: 27,350 candidates
CRS Score Predictions
Experts predict that CRS cutoffs may drop below 500 for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates by mid-2025, especially with fewer general draws and more targeted selections.
