Sudbury Announces New Sudbury PR Pathways 2025 with Priority Sectors and Jobs

Sudbury, a city in Northeastern Ontario, has officially revealed its priority sectors and occupations for two immigration programs:

  • Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP)

  • Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP)

These programs will help foreign workers with job offers in Sudbury PR Pathways 2025 become permanent residents of Canada, as long as their jobs fall under selected sectors and occupations.

Where Does This Apply?

This opportunity is available in Greater Sudbury, including nearby rural areas like Killarney, St.-Charles, and Noelville.

Sudbury is one of Canada’s few places participating in RCIP and FCIP.

In 2025, Sudbury received:

  • 525 PR nomination spots under RCIP

  • 45 PR nomination spots under FCIP

Who Can Apply?

To apply through these programs:

  1. The employer must be officially designated by Sudbury’s local economic development body.

  2. The job offer must be in one of the priority occupations.

  3. The candidate must meet basic requirements for:

    • Work experience

    • Education

    • Language skills (English or French)

    • Settlement funds

FCIP – Francophone Community Immigration Pilot

This program is for French-speaking applicants with intermediate-level French and a valid job offer in priority sectors.

Important Dates:

  • Employer Designation Applications Deadline: June 12, 2025

  • First Intake Window for PR Applications: June 23–27, 2025

Only employers who submitted their applications by June 12 can support candidates in the June intake.

What Happens After Submission?

If a worker’s application is selected, they receive a community recommendation. This is used to apply for permanent residence through the federal government.
