First Express Entry Draw of 2021:

171st Express Entry Draw of 2021 held on 6th January, issuing 250 invitations to the Express Entry candidates. This first Express Entry Draw of 2021 is specific to Provincial Nominee Class candidates who want to apply for Canadian permanent residence. 

This is the first program-specific draw of the new year and even after August 20th. 

CRS scores: 

Candidates who receive invitations and are aligned with Express Entry Provincial Nominee Programs, get additional 600 points automatically. The minimum CRS score was 813 for the candidates to be invited. Some of the PNPs and Express Entry aligned programs give scores based on the Comprehensive Ranking System. These points are based on education, age, work experience, language proficiency, and even job offer. Candidates with the highest scores receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence. 

As draws get bigger CRS scores to drop slightly as we have noticed by the end of 2020. If we talk about the previous year a total of 107,350 invitations were issued through Express Entry draw in this year. So we expect that this year will be great as well.
