Canada Express Entry CEC Draw Invites 4,000 Candidates with CRS 507

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw on March 17, 2026, targeting candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program.

A total of 4,000 invitations were issued to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 507, marking the lowest cutoff for a CEC-specific draw since August 2024.

Key Details of the Draw

  • Program: Canadian Experience Class
  • Date: March 17, 2026
  • CRS Cutoff: 507
  • Invitations Issued: 4,000
  • Tie-breaking rule: May 11, 2025 at 18:57:31 UTC

The tie-breaking rule means candidates with 507 CRS points only received invitations if their Express Entry profiles were submitted before the specified date.

CRS Trend in Recent CEC Draws

Recent draws show a gradual decline in CRS requirements:

DateCRSInvitations

Feb 17, 20265086,000
Jan 27, 20265096,000
Dec 16, 20255155,000

Throughout 2025, CEC draws typically ranged between 515 and 547, making the latest score significantly lower.

Eligibility for CEC

To qualify under the Canadian Experience Class, candidates must have:

  • At least 12 months of skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years
  • Experience in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations
  • Language scores of CLB 7 (TEER 0/1) or CLB 5 (TEER 2/3)
  • Plans to live outside Quebec

CEC candidates do not need to show settlement funds, and their applications are often processed faster since they are already working in Canada.

What It Means for Candidates

The 507 CRS cutoff improves chances for candidates with scores in the 500–510 range. With thousands of invitations being issued, the CRS threshold could potentially decline further in upcoming draws.

Asif Consulting will suggest that the candidates who received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) now have 60 days to submit their complete permanent residence application.
