UK Introduces New eVisa System for Pakistani Students and Workers

In a major shift to modernize its immigration system, the United Kingdom has officially implemented electronic visas (eVisas) for most Pakistani nationals travelling for work or study. Starting today, main applicants will no longer need a physical visa sticker in their passports to enter the UK.

The transition to eVisas aims to streamline the application process, improve security, and reduce reliance on physical documents. Pakistani students, skilled workers, and other eligible applicants will now be issued digital permissions that are accessible online and linked to their passport details.

UK eVisa system for Pakistan 2025 and Immigration (UKVI) announced that the UK eVisa system for Pakistan 2025 system is part of a broader move to digitize border control processes. Travelers will be able to view and manage their visa status through an online account, making it easier to update passport information or check the validity of their stay.

Officials have advised all travelers to ensure their passport details are accurately recorded during the application process to avoid issues at the border. Those who already hold a physical vignette visa will remain valid until expiry, after which new applications will automatically be processed under the eVisa system.

The UK government plans to extend eVisa use across all visa categories by 2026. For further queries, please contact Asif Consulting.
