Tech Talent with high demand in Canada

Canada is offering multiple immigration and work permit programs for candidates with Tech Talent. Candidates with Tech talent with their education and experience are equally important for Immigration pathways for both Provincial and Federal levels. 

The government has developed innovative and specific programs for the workers with Tech talent such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Host of Provincial Program such as the Alberta Opportunity Stream. There are many more programs in Canada like which are mentioned below: 

• Federal

If the programs are managed under Express Entry, Tech Talent in high demand is very clear. Such programs have not clear room for Technology Workers although aligned streams have such preferences. But according to a recent study, Candidates with technology occupations have received an invitation to apply. 

• Global Talent Stream

IRCC launched GTS as Global Skills Strategy which is part of Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program. It can allow two weeks of work permit processing for temporary high-skilled workers. 

• CUSMA Professionals 

For eligible work permits, citizens of the U.S. or Mexico under certain occupations can apply under Canada United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA). Canadian employers who hire foreign workers do not need a Labour Market Impact Assessment LMIA under this program.

• Intra Company Transfer

ICT is for the workers affiliated with a company with a qualifying relationship with a location in Canada. The foreign worker should have been employed with that specified company at least for one year. 

• British Columbia

British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot is quite similar to the Federal Express Entry System. It only processes Tech workers while Express Entry handles applications for Federal Skills Immigration. 

Two of the five streams are aligned with the Express Entry while the rest three are not. 

• Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan in its recent draws chose candidates from Occupation in-demand or Express Entry Stream which further deals in International Skilled Worker Category. Because Saskatchewan does not have any Tech worker immigration stream. 

• Manitoba

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program is on a Tech Talent Recruitment mission. Even organized a trip in which private and public working together to attract Tech Talent. 

• Ontario

Ontario also operates a tech talent recruitment with its existing immigration streams. Under tech draws many of the candidates get benefits and issued invitations. 

• Quebec

There is a major development in Tech workers pathways as the province already has a flourishing Technology industry. 

Quebec announced pathways for workers in the artificial intelligence, information technologies, and visual effect sectors.
