What is Express Entry?

Express Entry is the basic application management system that Canada applies in the following:

  • The Federal Skilled Worker Program

  • The Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates from all programs are ranked against each other in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), depending on the following factors:

  • Age
  • Work experience
  • Education
  • Occupation, and
  • Language proficiency.

IRCC invites the candidates with the highest collective scores to apply for permanent residency.

The IRCC can process the applications within six months of submission. They usually follow the service standard of IRCC.
