State and Territory Nomination allocation update on 491/190 invitations are here.

According to the Migration Institute of Australia, there are few allocations of places for 491/190 nominations. Strict conditions have been imposed on the occupations by the Government. As State and Territory Nomination allocation can approve for the SC 491/190. Very small allocations until the Federal Budget is announced on 6th October 2020. State and Territory Nominations are for occupations that are needed to the recovery after COVID-19. 

The industry Sector needed and critical occupations are listed on the MIA website.

Some details are mentioned below:

  • Included provision of critical medical services, air ambulance, medical evacuation and deliverance of critical medical supplies.
  • Supply of essential goods and services. Critical skills, Which are used in Medical technology, telecommunications and critical infrastructure. Critical infrastructure, engineering and mining agriculture technology, supply chain logistics, food production and the maritime industry.
  • Critical sectors for Australian economic recovery. Sectors like financial technology, film and television productions with emerging technology. Large scale manufacturing where no Australian workers are available.
