Service Delivery Improvement funding Projects by IRCC
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is launching Service Delivery Improvements Service Delivery Improvement funding projects, for an expression of interest process on 15 October 2020.
After the outbreak of this prevailed pandemic, IRCC will allocate $30 million as settlement funding for newcomers. This is a response by the Government for newcomers to safely recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Many settlement services have already moved online. As after COVID-19 services needed by newcomers are mostly online now.
SDI funding is actually to support newcomers for their successful integration in the COVID-19 post-recovery period.
SDI funding process will deal with the following priorities:
- Leveraging Technology: It is about those projects which will detect technologies, which will help to deliver remote settlement services. It will help newcomers to deal with technologies and deal with difficulties.
- Employer Involvement Increasing: Short-term and long-term employment prospects for newcomers, COVID-19 is affecting a lot. This Service Delivery Improvement project is here to encourage employers to get involved newcomers.
- Building sector Capacity: This will help newcomers to develop some of the challenges. IRCC was funded to deal with high-quality settlement programs to make it better. It will help in social research and development and will be added with IRCC funded agencies.
Funding recipients who are full under Service Delivery Improvement funding will provide regular reports to IRCC. Its high-quality Settlement program will help to address the needs of newcomers. Detailed funding guidelines will be published by October 15, 2020.
