Saskatchewan first PNP draw, 385 invites are issued

Saskatchewan held its first draw of 2021, inviting 385 immigration candidates for a provincial nomination. This Saskatchewan draw held on January 7, inviting candidates under Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand Streams. 

Immigration candidates are invited through Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. Candidates are invited with work experience in selected occupations. A total of 385 candidates were invited out of which 148 were invited through Express Entry and 237 invited under the Occupation In-demand category. 

Eligibility for Saskatchewan PNP draw

To be invited in this recent draw candidates must have submitted Expression Of Interest profiles with Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. Candidates need 71 EOI scores to be invited under each category. These EOI scores are Provincial requirements and all educational credentials assessment. Candidates must have experience in one of the 79 selected occupations. The EOI system is to recruit candidates according to the need of the regional labor market. Their selection also depends on education, work experience, age and language proficiency, and ties to the province. 

In Saskatchewan PNP draw, scores are given to candidates to the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid out of 100. According to recent changes, more points will be given to the candidates with bilingual ability to speak English and French.
