Quarantine plan by Victorian Universities to get back International students
Victorian universities are so into getting back the international Students and proposed a Quarantine Scheme. They are eager to pay for a Quarantine which is modeled according to the Australian Open program for Tennis players.
University Proposal
According to this Quarantine Proposal, almost 1000 foreign students will come to Melbourne. These International students will come every two or three weeks and will be kept in the hotel with quarantine arrangements. These all arrangements are to revive international education after the crises of the pandemic.
Arrangements by the Government
Universities are facing frustration as tens of thousands of enrolled students are stuck offshore. And in this biggest crisis, anxiety is increasing with Federal and State governments.
NSW government last week calling for expression of interest from the student accommodation providers. Which will enable the return of almost 10,000 students in the current year.
Quarantine proposal by the Victorian Universities
The Victorian Universities is giving a proposal to students to get flights back from China and India to Melbourne. And then quarantine them in the same hotels used by Australian Open players.
They are offering to pay for flights, transport, medical testing, and Quarantine facilities. After getting clear students can get back to their institutions. A number of flight and accommodations options are under consideration for later expansion.
Suggestion by Federal Education Minister
Federal Education Minister Alan Tudge offered states to bring students back in small Pilot programs. Almost 260,000 international students suffered after the outbreak of the pandemic. The loss to the Australian economy is around $18 billion due to the loss of foreign students.
