One of the key projects of PEC’s Pakistan Development Committee, the PEC e-gateway aims to provide resources and opportunities for engineers across international boundaries.
International businesses can work with qualified and licensed Pakistani engineers and firms through the E-single-window gateway’s solution. It also presents a fresh opportunity for business growth and the export of Pakistani engineers’ skills.

The Washington Accord opened the door for Pakistani engineers to be acknowledged as professionally accredited and offer their services in participating nations, and the PEC e-gateway is a step in that direction.

PEC e-gateway was established with the specific goal of minimizing brain drain at the national level by promoting local engineering talent in the international market through coordinated efforts of foreign engineers.

All distinguished guests from academia, business, and diplomacy were welcomed by Engineer Mir Masood Rashid, Advisor to the Chairman PEC. He emphasized the need for such venues in light of Pakistan’s economic difficulties.

“PEC gateway” provides the services of qualified engineers who are qualified to provide consulting and cost-effective business solutions that are practical from a commercial standpoint.

The efforts of the PEC and its PPDC committee in launching a platform that will usher the engineering community into the next era were appreciated by Engineer Lt. Gen. (r) Moazzam, Rector of NUTECH University. Jobs for engineers are currently the biggest challenge, and initiatives like these will close the market gap. He was grateful for the PPDC’s other initiatives, particularly the CAPSTONE EXPO, which inspired the engineering community to work on projects that would be profitable.

Senator Rukhsana Zuberi, an engineer, emphasized that taking this action will benefit the engineering community by developing a linking hub and utilizing the best way possible for the industry’s evolving opportunities. Due to a dearth of engineering jobs in the industry and economy, Pakistan is currently experiencing difficulties that could be mitigated if more similar platforms were made available.

She requested support from all parties involved for this platform in order for it to succeed. The private sector’s involvement is essential if the challenges facing the energy sector are to be solved. She emphasized the significance of pursuing engineering services export as well as the value of innovation and teamwork in moving Pakistan forward.

She referred to PEC as a catalyst organization that is promoting the sustainability of the engineering community throughout Pakistan and introducing an electronic procurement framework for local engineering consultancy services for service exports.

The current economic crisis, according to PEC Chairman Engineer Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, is the result of various stakeholders not playing their part, particularly engineers, who are essential to the growth of any economy. Stakeholders are responsible for providing a platform on which engineers can exercise their responsibility as front-line think tank soldiers. Innovative thinking, creativity, and reverse engineering are urgently needed for Pakistan to emerge from such economic crises. Priority two tasks for us to complete our earning foreign currency and reducing imports through localization of the economy. This platform is one step in that direction, but there is still more to be taken in the chosen direction.

Controlling Body Engineer Jawad Gillani, a member, thanked everyone for attending, including diplomats, businesspeople, and academics. Engineer Dr. Nasir Mehmood Khan (Registrar PEC), Engineer Sardar Ali Khan, Engineer Amir Zameer Ahmed Khan, Engineer Naveed Ramzan, Engineer Dr. Riffat Asim Pasha, Engineer Inayat Ullah Babar, Engineer Dr. Shaikh Zahoor Sarwar, Engineer Imran Khan Cheema, Engineer Nifasat Raza, and various industry delegates, diplomats, and distinguished guests from academia attended the inauguration ceremony.
