Interim Allocation for State and Territory Nomination Program will might open in October 2020. As the Australian Government’s allocations of State Nomination 2020-21 will be part of the Federal Budget process. Which will be held on 6 October 2020, till that nomination program is temporarily close. 

But after the COVID-19, to deal with the pandemic and economy after effects, there are some Interim allocation. Some states and territories are provided with a limited number of allocations. These interim allocations through State and Territory Nomination programs are in Business Migration and General Skilled Migration. 

Critical Services for Interim Allocations

The occupations for Interim allocation are based on Critical Skills and Sectors. Government of each State or Territory will decide which applications would be prioritised. Critical skills usually include Medical services, the supply of essential goods and services and services for Economic recovery. 

Some states and territories have even published the required Skills Occupation list.

Interim allocations are suspended for Western Australia for the time being and temporarily closed for other states.
