“High-Risk Third Countries” list

Pakistan has been removed from the “High-Risk Third Countries” list, increasing the chances of successfully applying for a visa or (PR) permanent residents.

The High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received “High-Risk Third Countries” list compliments from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and stated that it is their honor to refer to the High Commission’s note Verbale, number Pol-5/23/2022 of November 2nd, 2022.

On 14th November 2022, an amendment was issued by His Majesty’s Treasury to the UK’s “High-Risk Third Countries” list through a Statutory Instrument, which has, in accordance with the decision made by the (FATF) Financial Action Taskforce on 21 October 2022, has removed Pakistan from the list. The FCDO has also recognized Pakistan’s progress in improving money laundering and terrorist financing control.

The High Commission of the Islamic Republic has also received assurance from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development that it has given Pakistan its highest consideration.
