Express Entry Draw 4,750 invites for CEC candidates
172nd Express Entry draw held on January 7, in which 4,750 invites are issued to the Express Entry candidates. It is the second invitation round held in two days and specific to Canadian Experience Class Candidates. It is a good start for program-specific draws and we expect a large number of draws in the future. The draw was held on January 7 and the results are released on January 8 after the results of the PNP draw two days ago.
CRS cutoff scores for this recent draw
Invitations to Apply sent to the candidates with minimum Comprehensive Ranking System scores of 461. In Canada, a vaccination campaign is also on its way so higher immigration is also expected. We have also seen a decline in CRS cut-off scores as it is affected by the increase in invitations.
Express Entry System
Express Entry System is unpredictable but it was record-breaking for 2020 and a total of 107,350 invitations were issued. Even most of the provinces are aligned PNP streams with Express Entry System and the highest number of CEC candidates are issued in 2020. Candidates are ranked according to their CRS scores which are based on different factors. These factors include work experience, age, education, and language proficiency, and even the date and time of profile submitted.
