

CAQ application process resumes in Quebec
According to MIFI in Quebec, the CAQ application process is resumed for international students. Applications were previously suspended due to investigations and operations of 10 private colleges. That audit was ongoing by the Ministry of Higher Education results in the suspension of CAQ processing for international students. Submitted applications for these private institutions were suspended. The suspension was started on December 20, 2020, and was expected to end by April 1, 2021.

Quebec has to resume the CAQ applications as some of the Designated Learning Institutions appealed against the suspension in Quebec Superior Court.
On 11th January, Supreme Court mistrusted the program and did not find it reasonable and created inconvenience for the institutes and students. It can affect the lives and study plan of the students who want to be in Quebec this winter. MIFI was supposed to process CAQ applications which will allow thousands of students to continue their study program through DLIs Quebec.
