Canadian Borders reopening could be on a slower pace for the traveller’s entry
The government is working to reopen Canadian border, looking upon any pathway. Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA) are ready for strike action. This strike for the reopening of Canadian border could begin from August 6th, 2021.
According to the Prime Minister of Canada is clearly working with the CBSA union and negotiating and bargaining to figure out the pathway.
Border strike for reopening for Canadian borders
There is a possibility that a strike for the reopening of Canadian border could cause a significant delay. CBSA employees can not take full strike action as they are considered essential.
PSAC national president had a meeting with the prime minister two months ago. And talked about the smooth reopening of the border with a fair offer and bargain over it. The call to strike can not be turned aside but unions are hoping that Government will solve it through dialogue.
Canadian borders reopening for Americans
Borders will be open for non-essential travel but only for fully vaccinated American citizens. As well as for Permanent residents from August 9th, 2021. However, restfully vaccinated travellers can enter from September 7th, 2021.
