British Columbia is inviting 450 immigration candidates

British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program held on September 29 invited 450 Immigration candidates. Candidates are invited under two main categories, the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) and their Skills Immigration (SI) category. As these draws occurred during the COVID-19 but 31 occupations related to tourism are excluded. 

British Columbia PNP draw results

Provincial nominations are under five streams of the BC PNP. 

Here are details of Express Entry BC Categories (EEBC) minimum SIRS score for the Skilled worker is 93 and for International Graduate is 94. 

British Columbia Skills Immigration Categories minimum SIRS score for Skilled Worker is 93, for International Graduate is 94 and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker is 75.

SIRS in detail 

Skilled Immigration Registration System (SIRS) is a points-based system. It works the same for PNP as the Comprehensive Ranking System in Express Entry. Applicants usually submit the application to BC’s PNP and are ranked in the pool. SIRS has maximum points of 200 and applicants are selected according to the labour market needs of the province. Candidates with a skilled job offer of high salary are highest ranked. Other than job offer, level of education, work experience and language proficiency play a vital role.
