Alberta PNP draws for Express Entry candidates 

Alberta PNP draws held on February 10 inviting Express Entry candidates in which a total of 200 Express Entry candidates. These candidates are invited under the Alberta Express Entry Stream to apply for a provincial nomination. 

CRS scores for this draw

CRS scores for Alberta’s newest PNP draw have dropped almost 60 points as compared to the previous round. Candidates are invited with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 301. To be invited to the particular Provincial Nominee Program draw candidates must have a profile in the Express Entry System. 

Eligible candidates are awarded CRS scores and are invited then. And points are awarded for factors determined by the Government decided factors. These factors include education, age, work experience, education, and language proficiency. Candidates with eligible CRS scores and prospective candidates who are demanded in Canada’s labor market are invited. 

Candidates with the highest scores receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) which is a pathway to permanent residence. If any candidates receive an invitation from Alberta receives the Provincial nomination, 600 scores will be added to their scores. 

Alberta Express Entry Stream

Express Entry System candidates have an opportunity to receive an invitation to apply for Alberta Provincial Nomination like other Express Entry aligned PNPs. In the pre-pandemic era Alberta inviting candidates who are already living and working in the province. Alberta was supposed to invite 6,250 candidates in 2020 and due to COVID-19 allocations were reduced to 4,000. All this happened due to the outbreak of pandemic and there was no Alberta PNP draw in the second half of the year.
