Saskatchewan PNP draw, 452 Immigration candidates are invited
In a recent draw held on August 5, Saskatchewan has invited 452 Immigration candidates to be invited in a PNP draw. Out of total invitations 171 are invited under the SINP’s Express Entry category and 281 candidates under the Occupation In-demand subcategory.
In this recent draw, invitations are given under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) under the International Skilled Worker category.
Eligibility for nomination
All the nominated candidates need an Expression of Interest score of 73 to be invited. There are also Educational Credential Assessments required to demonstrate foreign education as compared to Canadian standards. Candidates must have work experience in any occupation in-demand among 65 listed occupations.
Occupation In-Demand sub-category
Occupation In-Demand subcategory under Provincial Nominee Program for the candidates who do not have Express Entry profile. It is for highly skilled workers with experience in listed occupations in the province. There is no job offer required in Saskatchewan.
To apply under this sub category, candidates have to submit an EOI profile through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program’s online application system.
Saskatchewan EOI system selects immigration candidates by assessing them on the basis of their education, work experience, age, language proficiency and ties to the province. Candidates are awarded scores through Points Assessment Grid. Candidates with high scores are issued invitations to apply and get nomination which is a pathway to Canadian Permanent Residence.
Express Entry sub-category
It is an enhanced PNP which is linked to the Federal express entry system. It manages the pool for economic-class immigration programs which includes Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class.
Candidates with Express Entry profiles create EOI profiles for Sasktchewan to be considered to apply for a Provincial Nomination. Express Entry candidates are awarded additional 600 points for their provincial nomination.
